Our Class trip to Oberwesel    (7c)

Finally, our class trip began! Me and my friends were about to start the class trip to Oberwesel. Everybody gathered at the “Schützenplatz” with their luggage and waited for the bus to arrive. The boys played some soccer and the girls, of course, talked. Ms Merkler was very excited about this trip and the exercises she prepared for us. In the main part of the story I´m going to tell you in detail what we did. Enjoy!

The very first thing we did was checking in at our hotel. We had to wait  for one and a half hour in the lobby but that wasn´t really a problem because there was a TV. After Ms Merkler finished the check-in we went back outside. There was a place where you could play table tennis, but Chris P., Paul, Jannik, Sven, Martin & I searched for the soccer pitch. And yes! There it was … but the surface of the place wasn´t the best because it had lots of stones. Anyway, it had two goals with a net and so it wasn´t that bad. We played for a couple of minutes before Chris B. came down the “hill” and told us that we should go back to the hotel entrance. Ms Merkler asked us if we liked to have turkey steaks or sausages for dinner. After that we were allowed to return to the soccer pitch. After 45 minutes we went to our rooms. We got the one next to Ms Merkler … . Then the 1st program point was waiting for us! We did Geo – Caching. We rallied through Oberwesel with a GPS – System searching for destinations using coordinates. After that everybody was tired and ready to relax and Martin and me explored the hotel. We found a slush ice-cream machine, a flipper, a billiard table and a kicker. There also was a swimming-pool but that didn´t interest us at that moment. In the evening we played a lot of soccer and had a lot of fun. At 10 p.m. it was sleeping time in the hotel and we had to go into our rooms. Until 11 p.m. we had time to talk with each other but at 11 p.m. Ms Merkler came into our room and told us that we had one minute left to turn the lights off to go to bed. Well, the 1st morning began very noisily because Ms Merkler rushed into our room and turned the lights on. Not the best way to wake up but there was nothing we could have done. 2nd program point was hiking with an elderly lady who talked about the “Rheinlandschaft”. It was kind of interesting, because she talked about a lot that I / we didn´t know before. We hiked to St.Goar, more precisely to “Burg Rheinfels”. There were underground ways that you could explore. This was very exciting although it was a bit cold in it, too! After that we went back to the hotel by train. Then we played a lot of games, like table tennis, “völkerball”, soccer and other things . On that evening we barbecued turkey steaks and sausages. After that we played some more soccer and billiard, too.

All in all, it was a great class trip and everybody knows each other better now. Ms Merkler has done a great job and made our class trip very well. Thank you Ms Merkler!
